The Story Behind the Kit
After heart surgery, founder Virginie wrote encouraging words on her wrist to help her return to exercise. Those same words inspired the Courage Kit.
For a friend’s hard week, a new beginning, or your own brave next step.
HOW TO APPLY
HOW TO APPLY
1. Prep your skin.
Choose a smooth, hair-free area you can see throughout the day. Clean skin with alcohol and let it dry completely. We recommend the inner forearm, so you can see your tattoo often.
2. Apply the tattoo.
Remove the clear film and press the tattoo face-down onto dry skin. Hold a very wet cloth firmly over the back for 30 seconds, then slowly peel away the paper. Rinse gently and let dry.
3. Make it last.
Apply a thin layer of hairspray once it's dry for an added layer of protection.
Full application tips are included with each Motivink tattoo pack. Let the motivation begin!

I bought two, one for my best friend starting chemo and one for a friend training for her first marathon. My best friend wore ‘You Got This’ to her first infusion and sent me a photo from the chair. My other friend wore ‘I Can & I Will’ for her long runs and said she’d look at it when she wanted to stop. Such a small thing, but I’m really glad I got these for them.
A Reminder You Can Carry With You
Before a chemo appointment, on a training run, or during a hard day, a glance at your wrist can bring your chosen reminder back into focus.
Keep Going. You Got This. I Can & I Will. Choose the words that speak to you or the blue heart as a reminder of someone cheering you on.
FAQs
Is the Courage Kit a gift, or something to keep?
Both. Give it to someone walking into chemo, recovery or the first weeks with a baby, and they get the right words for every hard day ahead. Keep it, and you have 12 tattoos ready for more than one hard week. Either way it comes in a keepsake folder, ready to hand over or keep.
How do I remove my temporary tattoo?
Gently rub the area with baby oil, coconut oil, olive oil, or rubbing alcohol. Let it sit for a bit, then wipe with a soft cloth.
How long does a MotivInk temporary tattoo last?
Each tattoo is designed to last up to 7 days with proper care.
How do temporary tattoos actually stay on during a heavy workout or if I’m sweating a lot?
Temporary tattoos bond to the top layer of your skin rather than sitting on it like a sticker. Once applied, they’re water-resistant and designed to handle sweat, workouts, showers, and daily activity. Areas with heavy friction may fade faster, but most MotivInk tattoos stay visible for several days, even with regular exercise.
Where should I place my tattoo?
Place it somewhere you’ll naturally see throughout the day, like your wrist, inner forearm, or wherever the reminder will help you most.
Are they safe for my skin?
Yes. MotivInk tattoos are vegan, non-toxic and made in the USA, so they're gentle enough for everyday wear. If you have very sensitive skin, try one on a small area first.
Are MotivInk tattoos waterproof?
Yes. They’re waterproof and sweatproof, so you can wear them through workouts, showers, and everyday routines.
